Services
Drill and blast contracting and grade control drilling for open pit operations across Western Australia.
Overview
ASD is a boutique drill and blast contractor working across the WA Goldfields and further afield. We handle production drilling and blasting for open pit mining clients, and we run dedicated grade control rigs for grade control and shallow exploration programs.
Whatever the scope, the delivery is the same: experienced, competency-assessed crews, a modern Atlas Copco and Epiroc fleet maintained by our own people, and management that is on the ground rather than at the end of a phone.
What We Do
Drill and Blast Contracting
Complete production drilling and blasting for open pit operations, from small single-pattern jobs through to large-scale, multi-rig programs. Hole sizes from 76mm to 165mm across our blast hole fleet.
Grade Control Drilling
Dedicated track mounted Epiroc D65 rigs fitted with Metzke sampling systems for grade control and shallow exploration drilling, delivering clean, representative samples shift after shift.
Capability Behind Both Services
- Management experienced across a wide array of drill and blast conditions, providing flexibility and efficiency
- Crews that are experienced, trained and safety-focused
- 24/7 mechanical field service support on site
- Equipment servicing, repairs and rebuilds handled in-house on both new and older machines
- Wet hire and dry hire options across the drill fleet and support equipment
- ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certified management systems
How We Work
Consistency comes from process. Every ASD crew works to the same operational standard regardless of site or scope: a daily pre-start on every machine, a documented risk assessment sized to the task and a Daily Drilling Log checked and signed off before it reaches the client. It is a simple discipline, and it is what lets our clients trust the numbers coming off site without having to double-check our work.
