Lady Ida Project
Australian Surface Drilling provided grade-control drilling services at Lady Ida for Beacon Minerals during Q1 FY27.
Throughout the campaign, the ASD team consistently exceeded the required drilling targets while maintaining QAQC standards, and provided safe, professional, and reliable support to our operation. The crew demonstrated a strong work ethic, communicated effectively, and worked cooperatively with our site team to manage changing operational requirements.
ASD maintained a high standard of safety, housekeeping, and equipment management throughout the project. The campaign was completed without incident, and the site was left clean and well organised following demobilisation.

Tumblegum Project
Australian Surface Drilling (ASD) has provided drill and blast services to MEGA Resources at the Tumblegum Project, supporting the operation from project commencement and throughout the mining campaign.
Having personally worked with ASD as a drill and blast contractor across multiple mining operations for more than a decade, I have consistently found them to be a reliable, capable and professional contractor. Their ability to mobilize, integrate with site teams and adapt to changing operational requirements has made them a valued part of the projects I have managed.
At Tumblegum, ASD has consistently supported the required drill and blast schedule while working closely with our mining and technical teams to ensure operational priorities are achieved. Their crews have demonstrated strong productivity, equipment reliability and a willingness to work collaboratively when plans or priorities change.
Safety has remained a key focus throughout the project. ASD personnel maintain good standards of safety, housekeeping and equipment management and actively participate in site safety systems rather than treating them simply as a compliance requirement.
One of ASD’s greatest strengths is its people. From management through to supervisors, drillers and shotfirers, I have found their personnel approachable, experienced and practical. Communication is open and issues are raised early, allowing them to be addressed before they affect the operation. Their crews work as part of the wider site team and understand that successful drill and blast performance is ultimately measured by how well it supports the mining operation as a whole.
After more than ten years of working with ASD across different projects and operating conditions, I have developed a high level of confidence in their ability to deliver.
